Women’s and Men’s Groups
Women’s Ministries
Connection. Compassion. Community.
The women of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Washington, NC, are deeply rooted in fellowship, service, and spiritual growth. Whether you’re seeking meaningful friendships, opportunities to serve, or spaces to grow in faith, our Women’s Ministries offer something for every season of life.
We believe in showing up for one another—and for the world—with grace, laughter, and love. Here are just a few of the ways you can connect:
Circle 5
A longstanding women’s group rooted in the tradition of Disciples Women, Circle 5 meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday at 2:00 PM for a time of devotion, fellowship, and occasional service projects.
Soul Sisters
This lively fellowship group gathers on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 PM at local restaurants for connection and conversation. Soul Sisters also take on community service projects, especially those supporting local schools and families through community programs
HOPE Group
The HOPE Group meets monthly to send birthday, anniversary, and care cards on behalf of the church. They also assemble seasonal care packages for nursing homes, homebound members, and children in the church. It’s a ministry of small acts with a big heart.
Book Club
Love to read and talk about what matters? Our Book Club meets monthly in members’ homes to share life and lively conversation around a chosen book. From fiction to memoir to thoughtful nonfiction, this group blends friendship with thoughtful reflection.
No matter where you are in your faith journey, you’ll find a warm welcome and a faithful sisterhood in our women’s ministries. Come as you are—and grow with us.
Catch & Release Men’s Ministry
Faith. Fellowship. Purpose.
Catch and Release is the men’s ministry of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Washington, NC—rooted in the tradition of the Disciples Men and the former Christian Men’s Fellowship (CMF), but shaped for today. This group offers a welcoming space for men of all ages to connect, reflect, and serve with purpose.
The group meets on the first Thursday of every month at 6:00 PM for a shared meal, casual fellowship, and a time of faith-building. Whether it’s a personal testimony, a simple Bible study, or a meaningful conversation, each gathering is designed to feed both body and soul.
Whether you’re looking for connection, encouragement, or a chance to serve alongside others, there’s a seat at the table for you.
